Frequently Ask Questions.
1. How much does an electrician cost?
Electrical costs can vary depending on the size and complexity of the job. We provide honest, upfront pricing and free quotes so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.
2. Are you licensed and insured?
Absolutely. We’re fully licensed and insured, with multiple licences and industry certifications to safely carry out electrical and air conditioning work across residential, commercial, rural, and industrial projects.
3. Do you provide emergency electrical services?
Yes! – Call us on 0428 232 683 and we’ll respond to you asap.
4. What air conditioners do you install
Yes — we supply and install a range of air conditioners, including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Kaden systems.
MHI systems are known for their long-term reliability, quiet operation, and premium performance, backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. Kaden systems are designed to meet a more budget-friendly price point while still offering excellent value and an impressive 7-year manufacturer’s warranty.
We also install all major air conditioner brands, including systems supplied by our customers.
5. How often should smoke alarms be replaced or tested?
Smoke alarms should be tested regularly to ensure they’re operating correctly. We recommend testing your alarms monthly.
Most smoke alarms should be fully replaced every 10 years, as sensors can become less reliable over time. Queensland legislation also requires interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms in all homes by January 1, 2027.
If you’re unsure whether your smoke alarms are compliant, we can inspect, test, and upgrade your system to current standards.
6. Do I need a switchboard upgrade?
If your switchboard is older, has ceramic fuses, no safety switches, or you’re experiencing tripping circuits, flickering lights, or adding new appliances like air conditioners, it may be time for an upgrade.
Many older electrical systems may also not have enough capacity for additions such as solar systems or air conditioning upgrades, and may not comply with current Queensland Electrical Connection Manual (QECM) requirements.
Modern switchboards improve safety, reliability, and help ensure your electrical system meets current Australian Standards. We can inspect your existing switchboard and advise whether an upgrade is recommended.
7. Do you offer free quotes?
Yes — all our quotes are 100% free. We provide honest, upfront pricing and take the time to explain all available options and costs, so you can make an informed, obligation-free decision.
8. What is a safety switch and do I need one?
A safety switch is a device designed to quickly shut off power if it detects an electrical fault, helping protect against electric shock and electrical fires.
Modern Australian Standards require safety switches on most electrical circuits, however many older homes still don’t have adequate protection installed.
If your switchboard has old ceramic fuses or no clearly labelled safety switches, it’s worth having your system inspected. We can check your switchboard and recommend any upgrades needed to improve the safety of your home or business.
9. Can you help with power outages or tripping circuits?
Yes — we deal with power outages and tripping circuits regularly. In many cases, if the issue is caused by a faulty appliance or overloaded circuit, we may even be able to help guide you over the phone to safely restore power before we attend.
If the issue requires further investigation, we can quickly attend site to diagnose and repair the fault safely and efficiently.
10. Do you service residential and commercial properties?
Yes — we service residential, commercial, rural, and light industrial properties. From small domestic jobs to larger commercial projects, we provide reliable electrical and air conditioning services across Bundaberg and throughout Queensland.
11. How quickly can you attend a job?
If you have an electrical emergency, we’ll do everything we can to attend as quickly as possible. For general electrical and air conditioning work, we typically aim to have jobs completed within 3–10 days, depending on the scope of work and current scheduling.
12. What areas do you service?
We’re based in Bundaberg and proudly service Bundaberg and all surrounding areas, including regular work in Howard and Hervey Bay.
For larger projects, we’re happy to travel almost anywhere across Queensland — with recent projects completed as far north-west as Mount Isa and south-west as Betoota.
